The following images (click on them for larger versions) show how the external optical components are installed.
The components here are the 50 watt halogen lamp, condenser, objective turret, objectives, eyepieces and filters.
No tools are required for these components, as they either use thumb screws or simply screw in place.
As mentioned, there are two versions of the filter cassette, both shown here. One has removable individual filters, and the other has sliders which hold the filters. In both cases, the filters are 45 mm in diameter.
The filters I have are diffuser, NCB, neutral color balancing blue filter, GIF, green interference filter and ND, neutral density.
